Eelum are mystical creatures that are passed down through generations as guardian spirits. They are natural born warriors and defenders, who have the ability to take a smaller, more animal-like form. They are known to bring good fortune and to ward off evil. The stones attached to their ears store their spiritual energy. If they become cracked, it means an Eelum has become tainted by the very evil they were to ward off. Eelum stand upright on two legs and often retain an elegant air about them. When they feel threatened they fan out their feathers to appear larger and more intimidating. They also can fan out their feathers if angered or to display them and potentially court a mate [sometimes they just want to show off!]. Their wings give the capability to glide for short to medium length distances. However the really stunning feature of the Eelum is their ability to jump to incredible heights without hassle. No running jump required! Some Eelum are also very good at climbing. They do not make for good swimmers, only a small handful of Eelum feel a strong connection to the sea, able to swim in its depths. Eelum can wear clothes but they choose to wear something that does not constrict their feathers on the arms and legs. Their horns are not for decorative purposes and are used as a method of attack or defense as they have rather thick skulls.
They all have horns of some type. Missing horns means the pact has been broken.
They also have nazar by their ears. It helps ward off evil from the household. If their nazar have been cracked it means they are tainted and will draw evil to the household instead.
